Chartered in January 2006, our mission states: "We are a network of successful REALTORS® empowering women to exercise their potential as entrepreneurs and industry leaders."
That mission depicts what we are all about. As an active, vibrant component of the real estate community, WCR encourages its members to work together to enhance the opportunities for all of us. It takes our group as a whole to thrive. Through participation, we learn better skills which evolve into enhancing each of our potentials for success. We also believe achieving potential includes giving back to the community, and we do so through altruistic activities which make a positive impact, not only on our network of real estate related professionals, but the Englewood community as a whole.

In the 1930s, the National Association of Real Estate Boards (the predecessor of NAR) witnessed a growth of women working in real estate and an increased participation of women at national conventions, as women were becoming aware of their potential in and importance to the industry.
